Since 2011 Swiss-Danish duo PutPut has been surprising us with ironic revelations on the hidden duality of common objects and everyday situations.
The ordinary becomes extraordinary thanks to the combination of objects from different worlds. Like in series "Vessels", which creates a dialogue between lids and stoppers in functional plastic with ornamental vases and glasses.
The name itself, PutPut, plays with the space between input (idea) and output (result), allowing itself to be contaminated by contemporary art, photography, sculpture, installations and advertising. To them even the most ordinary object, like a sponge with which to clean dishes or a carrot, is not exactly what it appears to be.
