latestnewsPESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan on Sunday said that the successful holding of intera-party elections in the PTI would ultimately end the family politics in country. Addressing a public meeting in Peshawar, Imran Khan said the intra-party elections had paved the way for the common man to clinch party portfolios, which highlighted the value of the vote. He said the manifesto of the PTI would be made public on March 23, which will be aimed at steering the country out of the current crises. “Those who are predicting the end of the tsunami should know that the Tehrik-i-Insaf has been transformed into a power, which is heading towards success,” he claimed. He said that the newly-elected office-bearers could expel anyone from the Tehrik-i-Insaf. “The other political parties are merely limited companies as their portfolios are divided among friends and family,” he added. Imran Khan said that fingers could not be pointed at the PTI and its leadership as such intra-party elections had not been held by any one. He said that even his children cannot become party leaders on the basis of being his descendants. The PTI chief said that elected office-bearers will hold the party leadership accountable and their authority in that regard could not be undermined.
