Enhancing Textile Designing for Today's Youth

India is a country with a rich heritage. India was the first country to introduce textiles. Even in Europe, most of the cotton was supplied by Indians. Today we are a nation of young, aspiring youth. We have to believe in ourselves. We have to build and improve upon what we have. In my mind, it's time to create and promote Brand India so that the world recognizes what has been created in this country. We have invested several decades in making institutions for excellence. National Institute of Design is one of the globally well-recognized institutions, said Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce, Industry and Textiles Shri Anand Sharma.

Textile Industry has its roots in our daily life in every manner. From waking up under a warm blanket to the clothes we put on. From the home decor to our routine life it exists everywhere.

Textile industry has had few milestones in becoming what is now.

And with the passage of time many got into textile business making it a big giant of Indian Economy.

Today's Textile Industry has many more glorious milestones to witness. And for that we need to understand the people and customers minds. Present Textile Industry is totally efficiency driven. It believes in:

Vertical/Virtual Integration

Manufacturing Excellence

Supply Chain Efficiency

Diversity in Product Mix

To polish the beauty of Textile designing nationwide and to nurture it with bright, fresh and cutting edge talent National Textile Corporation is conducting a Young Designer Hunt, the biggest search for the most talented designers across the Nation. It will be scrutinized by Indias ace global designer Raghavendra Rathore. He has been into textile designing since his younger times and acutely he is the right choice of NTC to select and supervise the young talented designers in India.
